There sure is a lot for sale here in this PX.
Score! A zebra and a sheep!
Riding the trike with Grampy.
Blowing bubbles with Nana.
Hmmm...very tasty. Good vintage.
Demonstrating good bubble-blowing technique.
Today LSP went to a Toys R Us for the first time. Up until now her only exposure to toys for sale has been the sad selection in the PX, which, even at Christmas time, is not very inspiring. She loved it of course, no surprise. But I was pleasantly surprised that we got out of there with no tantrums or attacks of the "gimmies" so that was good. Of course she did score some cool new stuff: a wading pool for the summer, a couple of plastic animals, a tricycle with a shark-themed helmet and a very nice pink potty. Now we just have to learn to use it. As if inspired by the giant display of potty chairs, LSP, perhaps affected by the antibiotics, proceeded to make a really nasty diaper in the middle of the store. Lovely. We caught it just in time, especially because she was wearing white pants, never a good fashion choice for a toddler.
Loading the stuff in the car I found a pair of nail clippers I had tossed in the car and forgot to pay for. When I went back in to pay for them the girl at the register was surprised and thanked me twice for bringing them back. Really? Are people that dishonest? That's sad.
When we got home her birthday present from Aunt L and Uncle M had arrived - a pink and purple shopping cart to go with her kitchen! She had a blast putting her animals in the seat and pushing it around (backwards, but, hey, whatever) and babbling away about going to the commissary. Very cute.
Her Daddy Doll came in the mail, too, but I've decided to hold onto that for a couple of days since she's clearly experiencing toy overload!
