After my run this morning I helped Grampy drag the Christmas tree up from the basement. We set it up in the living room and plugged it in, and, boy do I wish I had the video camera ready. The look on LSPs face was priceless. She gasped and stood with her mouth wide open, then clapped her hands over her mouth in sheer delight. Then she picked up her teddy bear and kept saying over and over, "Look, teddy, look at the tree! Look, teddy!" It was so sweet!
Later this afternoon there was a tree lighting ceremony in town, so we bundled her up and took her there. They had baked goods and LSP managed to eat 4 cookies before they got to the tree lighting. The crowd yelled, "One, two, three!" and the tree lit up and she was too shocked to even do anything for a few seconds. Then she gaped and gasped with big round eyes. What a wonderful age, to be so thrilled with things the rest of us have learned to take for granted.
