Uncle D and his "real ice cream."
Ice cream number one......
....and ice cream number two.
Cousin CG in an ice cream-induced stupor.
One scratch needed not one, not two, but THREE Hello Kitty band-aids. The modern medical establishment underestimates the healing power of band-aids.
What a day! For lunch the remaining family reunion parties decided that they wanted to ice cream, so we piled in the car and went to Dairy Queen. LSP dug into her ice cream with gusto, as did the rest of us...except for Uncle D, who declared that he wanted ice cream from the homemade ice cream shop in the next town. So we finished up, piled in the car again and drove there...where LSP had her second bowl of ice cream. What a lunch!
This evening Nanny came over to watch LSP while I got to go out to dinner with the grown ups. When we returned LSP had fallen asleep in Nanny's lap. She was utterly exhausted. She's got to be the dirtiest kid in town tonight, she has not had a bath in two days. She is covered in dirt and sweat and ice cream, but she was out like a light. We carried her upstairs and up her down. Poor little monkey was all worn out!
Everyone left today except Uncle D and Aunt BR, they leave tomorrow. What a wild time.
