New Playground - Day 107

Calling an animal meeting.

Handing out snacks. One bear gets a potato. Another gets a red onion and some frozen veggies. A little bit later the Cat in the Hat got a stick of butter.

Giving a speech to the shareholders.

This new playground is great!

She was peeking out the windows and yelling, "Hi people!"

Mastering the climbing wall with Grampy's help.

Check out her shoes. They are Dr. Seuss Chuckies. The tongue of one says "One Fish, Two Fish," the other one says "Red Fish, Blue Fish." How cool is that?!?

She got up to the top and said, "Big playground!"

My parents' town opened a brand new playground this weekend and today we went to check it out. It is flippin' HUGE. It has like 14 slides and a huge climbing rock and swings and tons of places to run and climb and play. The entire thing is make of plastic and the ground is all super squishy rubberized matting. It's a great place to play and LSP had a total blast running all over the place. It is so big that even though there were a ton of kids there it did not feel crowded at all. It happens to be right near the Dairy Queen so after playing LSP got an ice cream. Her favorite!

This morning before we went to the playground she and I played in the living room. Two of her new favorite things to play are "Farmer's Market" and "Meeting." In "Farmer's Market" she gets a bunch of her play food from her kitchen and puts it in her fuzzy pink backpack. Then we go to the opposite corner of the room and set the food up on the window sill. Then she goes shopping, choosing each piece of wooden play food one at a time and putting it back into her backpack. She puts the backpack on again and we return with the food to the play kitchen, where the food is put away.

"Meeting" requires all the stuffed animals to sit in a giant circle. Sometimes we set them up and she jumps up and down in the middle. Sometimes we set them up and she kicks them all over. Today we set them up and she brought the play food over and served the animals a snack while they were in their very important stuffed animal meeting. So cute!
