Cat in the Hat - Day 136

It was a day of eating out!  Aunt L and Uncle M were down so all of us went out to lunch at a breakfast-all-say kind of place.  LSP ate like a champ, finishing all of her Mickey-Mouse shaped pancake and asking for more.  Tonight Nana and Grampy had a dinner to go to, so Uncle M and Aunt L and LSP and I went out for a fun evening.  First we went to a new Taco place in the next town over.  It was very yummy - and then for desert they had fat free frozen yogurt, so we had some of that, too!  Then we went to my favorite store (and Aunt L's favorite too!) - Marshall's!  We got some good bargains and LSP had fun with Uncle M as he pushed her in the cart.  When we got back we discovered that Uncle M and Aunt L's car, which was supposed to be fixed today, wouldn't start at all, so they are stuck here for another day.  Hurrah for us!

Several weeks back one of my besties, N, sent a box of stuff for LSP including a Cat in the Hat doll.  She loves it and carries it around playing with it.  At the moment he has on a diaper and is sitting in her booster seat.  Earlier this week Grampy ordered her a copy of "The Cat in the Hat" by Dr. Seuss and tonight it arrived.  She took one look at it and her eyes got huge and she yelled, "The cat in the hat book!"  She was very excited.  We read it twice in a row sitting on the sofa, with her riveted to every page.

Trying on hats in Marshall's.

She LOVES to smell candles.  She had a big fit when we made her stop.

Mastering an essential skill - catalog shopping.
