Today LSP had her first mommy and me music class. She loved it, singing and playing with the noisemakers they had available. Of course everyone else's kids sat nicely on the rug and listened to the teacher....my go-go-go little one was all over the place. She was especially interested in swinging from the ballet barre in the corner. She did enjoy it, though, and tonight, in her bath, she announced she wanted to play drums. So we got out and went downstairs where she spent some time beating on some pots with wooden spoons.
Later she picked up the pepper grinder and before I could stop her, held it up to her eye to look into the grinder part. The result, of course, was pepper in the eye. We held her down and put liquid tears in her eye. She screamed and thrashed and yelled "It hurts! It hurts!" When we were done she stood up, sniffled, and said, "Want to see more pepper." Uh, no, I don't think so.
