The Undertoad - Day 51

First look at the ocean.

The Undertoad!

V and LSP enjoy some milk. When V says "milk" it sounds like "meat". Very cute!

This morning Grampy wanted to take LSP to see boats, so we loaded her in the car and drove to the town pier. We looked at boats, both big and small, and birds, both pigeons and seagulls. Then LSP wanted to see more water, so we loaded in the car again and drove a short distance to the rock beach nearby. LSP was fascinated with the waves and the water, but it was too rocky for her to walk well. So once again we loaded in the car and took her to the sandier beach. She was thrilled! She went right into the cold, cold water and loved the waves that sometimes reached to the bottom of her shorts. When the waves pulled back she would almost lose her footing in the undertow - and she even liked that! At one point she even fell on her butt in the cold waves and she still loved it. Eventually it was lunch time and we had to persuade her to leave, but we will be back.

This afternoon after nap we visited with a high school friend of mine and her daughter, who is only a few months younger than LSP. They enjoyed some snacks together and played. It was fun to see them, they are very similar little girls. It was fun, too, to chat with a great old friend. (And by old I mean that I have known her a long time! Not that she's old - she's younger than me!)
