Supporting the Troops - Day 54

She was way into this lobster sign. When we tried to go back to the car she kept running back to it and saying, "Stand next to the lobster."

Loving the pony ride!

She is standing on the air conditioner vent here, that is why her hair is all crazy. She was talking into the phone and saying all sorts of gibberish, then "I'm talking on the air conditioner!"

This afternoon we took LSP to the local farmer's market. When she woke up from her nap I asked her if she wanted to go to a farmer's market and she said, "Want to see piggies!" Well, I suppose that makes sense: farm=animals to a 2-year-old, but why pigs? She continued, "Want to see piggies in market! This little piggy went market!" Ooooohhh, I see, she is confusing farmer's markets with her toes, apparently. Makes perfect sense now.

Well, needless to say there were not piggies there. There were pony rides and she got to ride one. She was very pleased and sat on the pony with a look of fierce determination on her face. She was not scared for a minute. She's one brave girl!

Mom and I got some nifty things to put in a package for Soldier-Boy. At one booth of homemade goodies we got some tasty homemade granola. He loves stuff like that. When the owners of the booth heard we were buying it to send to a soldier in Afghanistan they gave us the granola for free and offered to make up a bigger bag next time. So nice! You give up a lot to be a soldier and a military family, and it is really nice when someone does something special like that for you. Just when you think the civilian world really doesn't care, someone goes out of their way to show support for the troops.
