Today was a day full of visitors. During LSP's nap Uncle M and Aunt L arrived and so when she woke up and saw them she got very excited. She took them into the living room and immediately started making them play with all her toys. When Nana tried to go into the room, LSP pushed her back saying, "Nana, kitchen!" Then I tried to go in and she glared and me and pointed sternly, "Mama, in the kitchen!" she demanded. She wanted Uncle M and Aunt L all to herself.
A short time later a friend of mine from high school AND college arrived with her kids. LSP was thrilled to have big kids who played so well with her. We played outside for awhile, then came inside to escape the heat. LSP especially liked A, my friend's daughter, dragging her around by the hand. She loves the big kids!
After her bath tonight, LSP was a bundle of energy. (Who are these idiots who suggest a warm bath at night time to get your kid ready for bed?!? Mine just gets all cranked up.) She grabbed a sippy cup full of water and began lifting it up over her head and announced she was exercising. She lifted the cup up and down like a dumbbell, then ran and got another cup and lifted them both. Daddy will be so proud.
